Jennifer Wendy Brown is an author, speaker, ministry leader, and founder of Waiting Well Ministries. The Waiting Well Community exists to help women find grace, healing, and strength in life's unexpected seasons.
In 2017, Jennifer founded the nationally recognized Single and Souled Out ministry and later launched United We Stand: Together We Pray, a prayer initiative that connected believers nationwide. Today, her passion is encouraging women to navigate delayed dreams, unanswered prayers, unexpected detours, and midlife transitions with faith, resilience, and hope.
Born in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, Jennifer now resides in the Chicago area. Her educational journey reflects the very message she now shares with others, and it has been marked by both setbacks and comebacks. After dropping out of college at 21 to become a wife and young mother, she experienced seasons of disappointment, detours, divorce, and rebuilding. But what felt like delays were not the end of her story. Determined not to let her setbacks define her future, Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree from Chicago State University at age 35 and later completed her Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Regent University School of Divinity at age 53.
As a mother of three and grandmother of two, Jennifer considers her family among her greatest blessings. Her journey has been shaped by seasons of motherhood, singleness, ministry, leadership, disappointment, heartbreak, and waiting. Through those experiences, she discovered that waiting is not wasted when placed in God's hands.
Her upcoming book, The Grace of Waiting, explores the lessons, growth, and transformation that can emerge when we learn to trust God in the waiting seasons of life.
Through her teaching, writing, and speaking ministry, Jennifer inspires women to discover how God can bring growth, healing, and purpose even in life's most difficult seasons.
What began as Jennifer's own journey from disappointment to hope has become a calling to help other women discover Grace for the Waiting and Strength for the Journey.
